This little pattern was on the guild white elephant table and I couldn't resist. It is an old burlap pattern designed by Pearl McGown. I had so much fun making white cap waves! The sky blue is made with recycled wool married in a salty solution. This was my dye method at the time and it was more or less successful. I have often thought about replacing it with a nice dipped sky blue, but it has it's own charm. The rope frame was another challenge I struggled with until a friend showed me someone else's rug rope. Each link is layered with values and can be tedious. I would recommend doing a couple of links every hooking session to get it done.
