 My 'Wide-Cut Self-Portrait'

It is my pleasure to teach Traditional Rug Hooking, a forgivable & creative Fiber Folk Art.    I have been teaching since April 2003 and have learned alot from my students and the process.

You'll find my 'Emmy' blowing bubbles on the front cover of the June/July/Aug'09 Rug Hooking Magazine!   What an honour and a thrill!

I traveled to Texas to teach at the Yellow Rose Rug Camp this past March. I had a wonderful class of talented and adventuresome rug hookers. Staying in the Ranch House with 3 of the other teachers was a huge bonus! We had great talks after class and they welcomed me as a new Rug Camp teacher.

In April, I taught at Maryland Shores Rug Hooking School in Ocean City, MD.   Special thanks to Lynne Fowler & Priscilla deBloom for incorporating bubbles into their rug designs! As usual, I enjoyed helping my other students with their projects which included Portraits, story rugs and simply fun rugs.   I'm looking forward to coming back April 10-15, 2011.

At Cambria Pines Rug Camp in June,  I taught a mini-class: 'Garden Heart' which features several Special Stitches. I look forward to seeing you at Cambria in 2011.

I had a great time in Oakhurst at the 2nd Annual Hooker Hill Retreat July 29 through August 2, 2010.  I taught a 2-day mini-class on 'Special Stitches' and brought my store which consists mostly of hand-dyed wool, patterns and hooks. 2 days for the mini-class was quite perfect; the ample amount of time made the project a lot of fun!

I hope to see you soon!
