2004 'Kagome'; design by Fumiko Yamamoto — hooked by Laura w.Pierce

kagome

Kagome was taught by Janet Hansen at Teachers' Workshop.  Janet explained that we didn't need a color wheel because we all knew what it looked like.   She had us play with crayons and copies of the design before we started hooking.  Janet stumbled over the feet of a display panel and crumbled to the ground.  She refused help and insisted on continuing the class from her position on the floor.   It was then that I knew she had 'true grit'!
#8 cut is perfect for this design.   I started making a border of diamonds but realized it competed with the central design.   The 'hit & miss' border works well.
